Terms of Use

Last updated 12 August 2026

TriTune is in private beta. By accessing or using TriTune you agree to these terms. They are written in plain English — if something is unclear, email us.

TriTune is currently in private beta with a small group of invited users. Questions about these terms? info@tritune.co
Important — not medical adviceTriTune provides general fitness and training information only. It is not medical advice, not a medical device, and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Training carries inherent risk. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting or changing your training programme, and for any medical concern. You train at your own risk.

Who may use TriTune

TriTune is for users aged 18 and over. Beta access is by invitation; we may limit, pause, or end beta access at our discretion.

Not medical advice — in detail

TriTune computes readiness scores, training recommendations, and coaching guidance from your fitness and biometric data using evidence-based algorithms. This information is provided for general fitness and training purposes only. It is explicitly not:

  • Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind
  • A substitute for professional medical, clinical, or therapeutic advice
  • A medical device within the meaning of any applicable law or regulation
  • A diagnostic tool for any health condition

TriTune has no clinical or medical experts on its team. Recommendations and readiness scores reflect training load and recovery patterns — they do not account for underlying medical conditions, medications, or individual clinical risk factors.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting or changing a training programme, particularly if you have or suspect a medical condition, are pregnant or postpartum, are returning from illness or injury, or have any concern about your health.

By using TriTune you confirm that you understand this, that you take full responsibility for your own training decisions, and that you will seek qualified medical advice whenever appropriate.

In an emergency, do not rely on TriTune — call your local emergency number immediately (999 in the UK, 911 in the US).

Not a HIPAA covered entity

TriTune is not a “covered entity” or “business associate” under the US Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the health data you share with us is not HIPAA-protected health information. It is governed by our Privacy Policy. Please do not use TriTune to store or send information you believe needs HIPAA-level protection.

AI-generated guidance

Some of TriTune's coaching is generated with the help of AI and population-level models. It can be incomplete or wrong, is general fitness information only, and is never medical advice. Use your own judgement, and check with a qualified professional before acting on it where it matters.

Training carries risk — your responsibility

Physical training carries an inherent risk of injury. You are responsible for your own training decisions and for listening to your body — ease off or stop if something hurts, and get medical advice when you need it. To the extent permitted by law, you take part in training informed by TriTune at your own risk.

Beta software

TriTune is provided as-is while in beta. Features may change, contain bugs, or be removed. The service may be unavailable at times. Beta access is free; we may end or pause it at our discretion, though we will give reasonable notice where we can.

Your data is yours

You keep full ownership of your health and training data at all times. You can export everything — every activity, check-in, and plan — in one click from your Profile page, any time. Closing your account or leaving the beta never locks you out of your own history. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail of how we store and protect your data.

Connected services

TriTune works by connecting to third-party services you choose — such as Garmin, Strava, or Google Health Connect. When you connect one, you authorise TriTune to receive your data from it through that service's official API, and you can disconnect at any time from your Profile (which stops further data and deletes the data we sourced from it).

Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and each remains responsible for the data it holds. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect any account you link to TriTune.

Working with a coach (optional, planned)

TriTune plans to let you share your training context with a coach. It is not available yet, and no coach has access to anyone's data today. This is how it will work when it arrives, so you know before you opt in:

  • Sharing happens only with your explicit consent, and you can revoke it at any time — revoking removes your coach's access immediately. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what a consented coach can see.
  • Coaches on TriTune are independent professionals, not TriTune employees or agents. We do not supervise, endorse, or take responsibility for their programming or advice.
  • Coach guidance delivered through TriTune is training guidance and subject to the same not-medical-advice terms above — it is never medical advice, and coaches may use your data solely to coach you.

Your content

You own everything you put into TriTune — your check-ins, notes, custom exercises, and coaching memory. You grant us only the limited permission we need to store, process, and show that content back to you to run the service. We do not claim ownership of it and we will not use it for anything other than providing TriTune to you — see the Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.

Feedback — if you send us ideas or suggestions, we are free to use them to improve TriTune, with no obligation to you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials or use TriTune on behalf of another person without their consent
  • Attempt to access other users' data or circumvent any security measure
  • Use TriTune in any way that violates applicable law
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract TriTune's algorithms, prompts, or proprietary methods

No warranties

TriTune is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the service — including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for a particular purpose. You rely on it using your own judgement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TriTune and its creators are not liable for:

  • Any loss, injury, or harm arising from your use of the service or reliance on its guidance
  • Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages of any kind
  • Interruptions, errors, or data loss during the beta period

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, to the extent such exclusion is prohibited by law.

Suspension and termination

Either of us can end your access to TriTune — you by closing your account or leaving the beta, us if you break these terms or we stop offering the service. You can export all your data before you go (see “Your data is yours”), and when your account ends we delete your data in line with the retention periods in our Privacy Policy — we do not keep it indefinitely.

If TriTune changes hands

If TriTune is ever part of a merger, acquisition, or sale, these terms — and your data, as described in the Privacy Policy — may transfer to the new owner, who must honour them or give you notice and a choice. You may not transfer your account or these terms to someone else without our agreement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as TriTune develops. If changes are material, we will notify you by email before they take effect. Continuing to use TriTune after that date means you accept the updated terms.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and TriTune about the service, and our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. The governing law and the formal dispute-resolution process will be confirmed before we open to the public — during the private beta, we will always try to resolve any issue with you directly first.
